OTHER NEWS

If you're going to Dancing Shoes this Friday night, look out for Northern Ireland footballing hero, Gerry Armstrong. He will be there with his glamourous wife and meeting up with some footballing pals. You never know, he might want to sign up Marty Maguire !

Dancing Shoes would like to say hello to Eve Graham, the former lead singer with The New Seekers - remember "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing" ? That's her. Well, after we learned that Scots lady Eve went out with George Best in the 1970's, we contacted her and are delighted to announce that Eve has accepted our invitation to attend Opening Night of Dancing Shoes in Glasgow on Sept. 13th.

Actor, Paddy Jenkins would like to apologise for trying to kill a member of the audience on Monday night during Dancing Shoes. At the finale of the showstopping Alex Higgins/George Best song "We Had A Ball" the top half of Paddy's snooker cue flew off into the 6th row of the audience. As it happened, Rodney, a visiting cricket Wicket keeper from England, casually shot his hand up in the air and caught the cue like he did it every day of the week. Well done Nigel and - watch it, Paddy !

We are Delighted to say that Junior Minister Jonathan Bell and Junior Minister Martina Anderson are hosting a good luck reception for the cast and production of "Dancing Shoes - The George Best Story", to wish them luck on their UK and Ireland tour. The Reception will be hosted up at Stormount Castle this afternoon (24/08/11).
